Please spend your happy days

After yesterday’s class, I got to do some marking.  Now, I promise I won’t do this every time I do marking, but I just thought I’d share a couple of yesterday’s Japanese Engrishisms.

The task was to write some sentences about a city library for its webpage,  sharing information and encouraging people to visit.  I have omitted the hilarious spelling mistakes and just gone for the grammatical beauties.

“Please spend your happy days.”

“Clouse is nine in the evening.”

“You cand rend books for two weeks.” (Apparently they also spell their problems with ls)

“Using a computer is a characteristic of here.”

“It opens between nine o’cloc to twenty-one o’cloc.”

“The library is many writing English books ant using computer. I wait. Yah will come soon.”
